2015-2018 CTA RATIFIED BY MEMBERSHIP

Recently negotiated changes to the 2015-2018 Canadian Theatre Agreement
(CTA) with the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres (PACT) were
ratified by the eligible Equity membership in an Internet and telephone
vote which concluded on June 18, 2015.
 
Members voted 95.5% in support of the proposed changes. 

The voting return rate was 16.7%. 4,129 voters were eligible to vote and
688 Equity members cast a ballot.

The ratified 2015-2018 CTA includes financial increases of 1.5% in the
first year, 2% in the second year and 2% in the third year of the
Agreement. There is an increase in TYA fees of 1% in each year of the
Agreement. All other monetary amounts increase by 5.5% and remain at a
single rate for the duration of the 2015-2018 Agreement.

The new CTA fee and monetary amount increases as well as material
changes will take effect on June 29, 2015. The 2015-2018 CTA will remain
in force until June 25, 2018. 

Electronic copies of the 2015-2018 CTA will be available on EQUITYONLINE
(http://www.caea.com) and in hard copy as soon as updating and printing
allows. A copy of the negotiated material changes and fee booklet will
remain online at EQUITYONLINE (http://www.caea.com) until the updated
Agreement is released.
