Additional information: 
YPT will be producing Hana's Suitcase, written by Emil Sher and based on
the book by Karen Levine, in its 2015/16 50th anniversary season. The
show will run from October 5th to October 30th, 2016. Rehearsals begin
on September 14th, 2016.  

Artists of all cultural backgrounds and body types are encouraged to
submit resumes. Descriptions of the roles we are initially casting are
listed below.

Auditions will be held on Wednesday April 8th, 2015. Resumes should be
submitted to YPT no later than March 27th, 2015. Send headshot/resume
clearly marked "Hana's Suitcase" to the attention of Stephen Colella.
E-mail submissions will *not* be accepted.

Please note that we will be hiring adult professional actors for all
roles.

ROLES

MAIKO - 12 year old Japanese girl, student at the Tokyo Holocaust
Education Centre.

AKIRA - 9 year old Japanese boy, student at the Tokyo Holocaust
Education Centre.

FUMIKO - Japanese woman, teacher at the Tokyo Holocaust Education
Centre.

HANA - 9 year old Czech girl.

YOUNG GEORGE - 12 year old Czech boy.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
