Additional information: Malach Productions is holding auditions for its
production of "Deadmouse: The Musical" in the 2015 Toronto Fringe
Festival. 
 
STORY: "Deadmouse: The Musical" is a about a mouse who wants to be a
house DJ but is discriminated against for being a mouse. Joel
Zimmermouse must team up with his best friend David Goudda and his flame
Cat Von D to overcome adversity and the dastardly mouse hating villain
Avicheese.
 
ROLES:
JOEL - 25-30, a mouse and aspiring house music DJ
CAT - 22-28, a mouse and Joel's girlfriend. A tattoo artist. Edgy rocker
chick type.
ST. PETER - 30s, a definite partier and has issues with God.
AVICHEESE - 30s, a megalomaniac. A successful Swedish DJ who is
threatened by Joel.
 
All characters should be comfortable singing in a pop/rock musical
theatre style.
 
Audition Date: April 7, 2015 10am - 4pm
Callback Date: April 8, 2015 12pm - 4pm (if required)

PREPARE: 2 comedic songs from the contemporary musical theatre/pop
repertoire. 32 bars preferred. You may only be asked to sing one song at
your audition. You may also be asked to read sides from the script at
your first call or callback.
 
Fringe Festival Dates: July 1-12. Exact rehearsal and performance dates
to be determined. Please be free and flexible during the entire fringe
schedule.

selected to be seen will be contacted.
 
EQUITY and NON-EQUITY artists encouraged to submit. EQUITY artists will
be engaged under the Festival Policy Agreement. EQUITY artists will be
seen first. Please bring your equity card. 
 
Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
