Additional information:
Auditions will be held in Toronto, Ontario. Specific audition requirements
will be given to successful candidates when audition times are booked.
"Young Frankenstein" is a musical published by Music Theatre International
based on the legendary Mel Brooks film.
We will be casting for the following roles:
1. The Monster (M, 30-40) The large, misunderstood creation of Frederick
Frankenstein.
2. Igor (M, 30-45) Frederick's faithful, bright-eyed eager servant.
3. Inga (F, 20-30) the not-so-bright assistant to Frederick. Young and sexy.
4. Elizabeth Benning (F, 30-40) Self-loving, naive, boisterous fiancee of
Frederick.
5. Frau Bleucher (F, 50-65) The proud housekeeper of the Frankenstein
estate. Intense and stern.
6. Inspector Hans Kemp / The Hermit (M, 35-50) A double-cast role of the
steadfast town Inspector and the lonely, poor blind town hermit.
7. Dr. Victor Von Frankenstein (M, 50-65) Frederick's infamous grandfather
and creator of the original monster.
8. Ziggy (M, 20-35) The well-intentioned village idiot.
9. Male and Female Ensemble -- strong dancer/singers who will also
understudy principal roles.
Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members
cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract.
