Acting Up Stage engages artists under the terms of the Canadian Actors’
Equity Association ITA. Acting Up Stage Company is an equal opportunity

Additional information: Acting Up Stage Company is seeking artists for
future editions of UnCovered.

Our signature UnCovered concerts take place every November for three
performances. Working with the musical catalogue of well-known
singer/songwriters (e.g. The Beatles, Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, Billy
Joel, Paul Simon), musical director Reza Jacobs and dramaturge Mitchell
Marcus work with an ensemble of artists to create wholly original musical
arrangements that bring narrative and character to the forefront of songs we
think we know. The result is a hybrid concert/musical theatre/cabaret event
at the stunning Koerner Hall that is both entertaining and poignant with
unforgettable and surprising interpretations of classic music through a
storytelling lens.

SEEKING
Artists of all ages and types who are excellent singers of popular music and
stellar song interpreters.
The ability to play a musical instrument in an asset.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
Actors will be asked to prepare two contrasting pop songs, each no longer
than 2 minutes in length.
Actors who play instruments will be asked to accompany themselves on one of
their songs.
All actors are asked to bring photo and resume to the audition.

SUBMISSIONS
Please submit photo and resume for consideration by November 20, 2015
electronically to auditions at actingupstage.com. Please indicate any musical
instruments that you play.

Only those actors being invited to audition will be contacted.  We thank all
