NEGOTIATIONS FOR THE 2016-2019 CANADIAN OPERA AGREEMENT SUCCESSFULLY
CONCLUDE

Equity announces that bargaining for the Canadian Opera Agreement (COA)
negotiated with the Canadian Opera Company (COC) has successfully
concluded.

Regular, Regular - Extended Visa and Life Equity members, in good standing
and who were engaged under the 2013-2016 COA, are eligible to vote on the
proposed changes. The ratification vote for this Agreement will take place
very soon.

Equity and the COC entered into formal negotiations mid-April 2016 and
bargaining concluded June 22, 2016. The agreement between the parties to
specific negotiated language was confirmed on August 5, 2016.

Pending a successful ratification the amended terms of the COA will
retroactively take effect as of July 1, 2016.
