2016-2019 COA AND OPA RATIFICATIONS - VOTING OPENS TODAY

Voting opens today, August 25 at 9:00 a.m. ET. Cast your vote early!

The proposed amendments for the 2016-2019 Canadian Opera Agreement (COA) and
the 2016-2019 Opera Agreement (OPA) are now subject to ratification by the
affected Equity membership. Ratification voting kit including a voter
instruction letter, a copy of the proposed material changes for the
2016-2019 COA and OPA, and explanatory letters were mailed to eligible
Equity members. PLEASE NOTE: Only members who are eligible to vote under
both Agreements will receive ratification materials for both ratification
votes.

Voting for the 2016-2019 COA and OPA will be by electronic methods only.
Telephone and Internet voting opens today, Thursday, August 25 at 9:00 a.m.
ET and closes Thursday, September 8. Only those votes cast prior to 5:00
p.m. PT on September 8 will be counted. The results of both ratifications
will be announced on e-drive and on EQUITYONLINE (http://www.caea.com) on
Friday, September 9, 2016.

Regular, Regular - Extended Visa and Life Equity members, in good standing
and who were engaged under the 2013-2016 COA and/or the 2013-2016 OPA are
eligible to vote on the proposed changes. Equity members engaged under both
agreements are eligible to vote in both ratifications.

Any eligible voter who does not receive a ballot by Tuesday, August 30 is
encouraged to contact Equity's National Office either by email
(communications at caea.com) or by phone (1-800-387-1856 or 416-867-9165 in
Toronto) for assistance.

Pending successful ratifications the amended terms of the COA and OPA will
retroactively take effect as of July 1, 2016.

Copies of the negotiated material changes for both agreements are available
in the members only zone at EQUITYONLINE (http://www.caea.com).
