SpringWorks: indie theatre & arts festival (SWF) introduces our community
and visitors to new and exciting voices of cultural, artistic and social
diversity. It’s all about what's indie & edgy, what inspires & challenges,
what celebrates our differences, and what brings us together. SWF shares
works at all stages of development- from the simple staged reading to a
full-blown production.
If you have a story to tell, in whatever form you want to share it,
SpringWorks is the place for you.
SpringWorks is committed to equity and inclusion. We encourage submissions
from artists of all genders, dis/abilities and ethnicities

CALL for SUBMISSIONS-
SpringWorks: indie theatre & arts festival will "Spring into FALL" in 2017
Festival dates-
-Deadline for SUBMISSIONS DATE CHANGE February 1, 2017
-Acceptance offers expected to go out March 6, 2017- company confirmation,
scheduling and contracting dates by end of March.
-Launch with Culture Days, September 29
-Core programming runs October 12-22, 2017
SpringWorks
-is a curated/juried NEW WORKS, multi-disciplinary arts festival
-showcases theatre, dance, concerts & cabarets, poetry, digital and visual
arts, as well as puppet and family programming
-is dedicated to educational outreach to the children and youth of our
region

Applicants must fill out ONLINE and PRINT/ MAIL submission forms found at
http://www.springworksfestival.ca/2017-submissions-k9yk2
Some details include:
-SpringWorks’ fee structure- operates under CAEA “Festival Policy”
-Mainstage works length- all disciplines- 50-70 minutes
-Children’s puppetry/programming length- 20-50 minutes
-Works will be considered at multiple stages of process: “in development”
through staged productions
-Venues are “found” and created spaces with 50-250 seat capacity with light,
sound and one professional technician
NOTE: Works/presenter/submitting companies that are accepted- are
RESPONSIBLE for casting, contracting, production planning and actualization.
SpringWorks DOES NOT cast or produce works for presentation at SWF festival
