NEGOTIATIONS FOR THE 2016-2019 OPERA AGREEMENT SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDE
--------------------------------
Equity announces that bargaining for the Opera Agreement (OPA) negotiated
with five regional opera producers (Pacific Opera Victoria, Calgary Opera,
Edmonton Opera, Manitoba Opera and Opera Atelier) has successfully
concluded.

Regular, Regular - Extended Visa and Life Equity members, in good standing
and who were engaged under the 2013-2016 OPA, are eligible to vote on the
proposed changes. Ratification vote details will be announced shortly.

Equity and the Opera Agreement producers entered into formal negotiations in
June 2016 and agreement between the parties to specific negotiated language
was confirmed on June 28th, 2016. Pending a successful ratification the
amended terms of the Agreement will retroactively take effect as of July 1,
2016.
