Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement: Eastern Front
Theatre values gender equity and cultural diversity in all of our practices.
We encourage submissions from ALL artists.

Additional information: Eastern Front Theatre is seeking FOUR actors to play
roles of characters in their 20s to perform in The Stages Festival 10-minute
play Contest and the Playwright Unit series.

This three day contract will require actors to rehearse and perform a
selection of scenes as a staged reading for the Playwright Unit Series in
one day: four scenes, each from a different play.

There are then two days dedicated to the rehearsal and on-book performance
of the 10-minute Play Contest. The actors will perform FOUR ten-minute
plays, written by emerging writers.

Dates: June 24, 25 & 26, 2016

Halifax-based actors who wish to be considered can send resumes and photos.

Actors will be selected from submissions by May 30th.

We are welcoming of ALL artist submissions. We select the four scripts
BEFORE casting.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members
cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract.
