PERSONAL INFORMATION STATEMENT RE: ONLINE SECURITY

On October 11, 2016, emails appearing to be sent from Equity's @CAEA.COM
domain were distributed to some members and engagers. Recipients were asked
to click on a link and provide personal information including email address
and password. These emails were not sent from Equity staff.

Unfortunately, technology-savvy criminals use email and the Internet to
steal personal and financial information.

Equity will never solicit personal information including credit card
numbers, bank account information, or passwords via email unless contact is
member-initiated.

If you are in doubt, or if you receive what appears to be an unusual or
suspicious email from Equity, do not respond to the message, provide any
personal information or click on any links within the email. Please
contact Equity immediately at the following phone numbers: 1-800-387-1856
(Toll Free) or 416-867-9165 (in Toronto) for further information or
instruction. Legitimate member outreach initiatives (e.g. surveys, and
online ratification votes) will always be identified at www.caea.com.

Equity apologizes for any inconvenience relating to this incident. We are
currently reviewing all of our email and Internet security protocols in
order to ensure that recurrence is prevented.
