submissions from actors of diverse backgrounds and ethnicities and promotes
an environment of equity, inclusion and diversity.

Additional information:

The Chemainus Theatre Festival will be holding general auditions in Calgary
at Lunch Box Theatre Rehearsal Hall on Thursday, Nov 24, 2016.  Artistic
Director Mark DuMez will be in attendance.  All successful applicants will
prepare 2 contrasting monologues, no longer than 4 minutes in total.
Applicants wishing to demonstrate their vocal ability may prepare an
additional 16 bars - to be self-accompanied or unaccompanied, no longer than
1 minute in total.  Chemainus Theatre Festival produces up to seven
mainstage shows, one Kidzplay show and one Studio show each season.  The
upcoming 2017 Season will be publicly announced following this posting.  For
more information regarding shows and potential roles, visit
chemainustheatre.ca. Audition priority will be given to Equity artists whose
work is not familiar to the Artistic Director. Only those selected for an
audition will be contacted with an audition time. No phone calls please.
Deadline to submit is November 11, 2017.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members
cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract.
