script and includes encounters with professionals from the industry, such as
Tarragon playwrights-in-residence. The class will be geared towards people
who have a script they want to develop, and exercises and assignments will
be tailored to the specific needs and interests of participants.

Using scenes from Tarragon’s canon of Canadian plays, this course will focus
on scene analysis, rehearsal techniques, and the vocabulary used between
director and actor.   Throughout seven intensive sessions, participants will
be involved in directed rehearsals and critical discussions, with the aim to
refine their own individual acting technique and to explore the voices of
Tarragon playwrights. Each participant will be assigned a scene partner, and
one scene that will be rehearsed in rotation throughout the course.
