Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement: Theatre under
the Stars welcomes submissions from actors of all ethno-cultural
backgrounds.  The intention of the audition process is to showcase your
talent in the best possible light so that the creative team can accurately
assess your suitability as a member of the cast of either show. Please keep
in mind that there are many criteria to this assessment.  Ultimately the
decision is subjective and rests solely with the creative team.

Additional information:
Theatre Under the Stars is pleased to announce auditions for our 2017 summer
season; the shows are
“The Drowsy Chaperone” (directed by Gillian Barber with musical direction by
Kevin Michael Cripps and choreography by Shelley Stewart Hunt) and Disney &
Cameron Macintosh's "Mary Poppins" (directed by Shel Piercy with musical
direction by Wendy Bross Stuart and choreography by Nicol Spinola).

CAEA members are invited to submit a headshot and resume to Auditions
Coordinator Nelli Hanbury at tuts.auditions at gmail.com. Actors selected for
an audition will be contacted with an appointment. This consideration is
only available to full CAEA members – not to apprentices.  The audition will
be a vocal audition only – dance and scene work will be considered if called
back. We do not accept video auditions except under extraordinary
circumstances.

The Drowsy Chaperone: Jan 21,22,24
Mary Poppins: Feb 23,24,25,26

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members
cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract.
