to build a diverse cast — ALL are welcome to submit.

District Theatre Collective is excited to announce our upcoming production
of The Trump Card — an
adaptation of the monologue by Mike Daisey, coming to the Winnipeg Fringe
Festival this year.

The Trump Card chronicles Donald Trump’s story from his early days to
today, highlighting the rise of “a new American archetype—the very first
rich man famous exclusively for being rich.”

Much like our 2012 adaptation of Daisey’s The Agony and the Ecstasy of
Steve Jobs, we will be interpreting and re-imagining the playwright’s
open-source monologue for Winnipeg audiences.

We will be holding open auditions on January 21 and 22 to build a
collaborative team of actors to help research, adapt and bring this
production to life.

Actors will be contacted on January 14 with further audition information
and materials.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the audition.
