2017-2020 VANCOUVER OPERA AGREEMENT RATIFICATION - VOTING NOW OPEN

The proposed amendments for the 2017-2020 Vancouver Opera Agreement (VOA)
are now subject to ratification by the affected Equity membership. A
ratification voting kit including an explanatory letter, ballot and copy of
the proposed material changes for the 2017-2020 VOA have been mailed to
eligible Equity members.

Regular, Regular - Extended Visa and Life Equity members, in good standing
and who were engaged under the 2014-2017 VOA, are eligible to vote on the
proposed changes. The ratification vote will be conducted by mail only.

Only those ballots received prior to Thursday, August 10, 2017 will be
counted. Results will be announced on e-drive and on EQUITYONLINE
(http://www.caea.com) on Friday, August 11, 2017.

Any eligible voter who does not receive a ballot by Tuesday, July 18, 2017
is encouraged to contact Equity's National Office either by email
(communications at caea.com) or by phone (1-800-387-1856 or 416-867-9165 in
Toronto) for assistance.

Pending a successful ratification the amended terms of the VOA will
retroactively take effect as of July 1, 2017.

Copies of the negotiated material changes are available in the members only
zone at EQUITYONLINE (http://www.caea.com). Questions regarding the
