Mixed Company Theatre is bringing back their popular Forum Theatre workshops
this July! Theatre for Action is our week-long series of intensive workshops
conducted by renowned Forum Theatre creator and Mixed Company Artistic
Director Simon Malbogat. The techniques of Forum Theatre facilitation are
transferable to a wide range of community engagement initiatives. Theatre
for Action participants will receive the skills to become more
socially-aware artists, facilitators, and community activators.

Introduction to Forum Theatre

Masks of Manipulation

Improv Comedy provides a foundation for relationship based, scenic improv.
Through games, exercises, and scene work, participants will explore the
fundamentals of how to trust their impulses, connect with their partners,
build character and environment, work in an ensemble and honour a sense of
play.

This course is open to adults 19 years and up, with or without Improv
experience:  those looking for professional development or just to have fun!

Space is Limited.

Foundation in Acting offers a one-week experience of theatre school training
through classes in movement, voice, and acting.

This course is open to anyone 19 years and up, with or without acting
experience:  those considering a career in acting; educators; artists from
other disciplines; or anyone who would like to experience a week of theatre
school training in acting!

Applicants are asked to submit a short description of their acting
experience to assist faculty in choosing appropriate material.

This program is limited to 16 participants.

Dates:  August 14th-19th, 2017
        Monday-Friday 10am-3:40pm   Saturday 11am-3:40pm

Cost:  $450  plus HST
