are open to artists of all genders and all ethnicities.
Additional information:
Royal City Musical Theatre is producing CABARET based on the play by John
Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood; John Kander, music; Fred
Ebb, lyrics
Rehearsals: Begin January, 2018
Performances: April 12-29, 2018m Massey Theatre, New Westminster, BC.
CAEA Members engaged on a DOT contract.
Director: Valerie Easton
Musical Director: James Bryson
We will provide an accompanist.
We are accepting submissions for the roles of Sally Bowles, the Emcee,
Clifford Bradshaw for auditions held by invitation July 5-8
Further auditions for remainder of the cast will occur in the Fall.
SALLY BOWLES:
low A to high C, soprano, strong belt; British cabaret singer at the Kit Kat
Klub, comfortable with stage movement and dance; speaks with a British
accent.
EMCEE:
middle C to high C#, tenor; the host/master of ceremonies at the Kit Kat
Klub-- comfortable with being close to both men and women; comedic, lovable;
requires agile stage movement and dance; age range and appearance flexible,
speaks with German accent.
CLIFFORD BRADSHAW:
low A to high E, tenor; American novelist, English teacher traveling to
Berlin; comfortable with stage movement and light dance; speaks with
American accent.
Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members
cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract.
