The SOTMSC is holding COMPANY AUDITIONS for the 2017
Shakespeare-In-Hospitals Program, launching October 15th/2017

The SHAKESPEARE-IN-HOSPITALS PROGRAM (SIH) provides performance
opportunities to emerging and established artists while addressing physical,
economic, and social barriers to community and arts engagement commonly
encountered in the health sector using classical text. The ensemble tours to
select hospitals, senior residences, hospices and shelters across Toronto
and the G.T.A throughout the fall. This year we will be exploring the
relationship between Identity and Adaptation.

TO SUBMIT: Please send headshot and resume to Victoria Urquhart at
shakespur at gmail.com with AUDITION REQUEST in the subject line. Applicants
will be asked to submit a cover letter outlining your interest in the
program and any community engagement experience you have. This is open to
both union and non-union artists.

REHEARSALS: TBC
PART TIME- August 23rd until 3rd week of October.
PERFORMANCE: One-to-two times per week from October 15th to December 16th,
plus 3 showcase performances to the public.
PAY:  TBC

DEADLINE TO SUBMIT: May 23rd at midnight.
Successful applicants will be contacted for an audition. Please prepare a
1-2 minute Shakespearean monologue plus one scene (assigned by the
directors), and come dressed to move.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members
cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract.
CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the audition.
