YES Theatre is seeking letters of interest for our new musical creation
process, From The Ground Up. We are looking to engage a composer,
lyricist, and book writer. This can be a team of people or individual
artists.

We are looking for artists with a passion for youth driven narratives and
a strong interest in community engagement.

The chosen writing team will collaborate with a director/dramaturge,
designer, and 5 actors. The piece will be created and developed over 2
years. The first consisting of community research and engagements over
6-10 weeks in Sudbury. The second consisting of script development and
subsequent workshops. The piece will then debut in the summer of 2019 as a
part of YES Theatre’s 10-year anniversary season.

It is our intention to create a piece of theatre that is a youth driven
narrative.

We are interested in applicants who have training or experience making
work in visual, performance, and musical arts, not just specifically
musical theatre artists.
