Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement: Sum Theatre is
committed to working with artists of diverse backgrounds and encourages all
to apply. We especially encourage submissions from artists who identify as
deaf or living with a disability.
Additional information:
The Short Cuts Festival
rehearses in late September
and runs early/mid-October 2018
Sum Theatre’s season includes various projects, but most notably:
Theatre in the Park
which rehearses mid June - early July 2018
and runs July 2018
Yvette Nolan, Joel Bernbaum, Heather Morrison, and Charlie Peters will be in
attendance.
Video submissions will be accepted from out-of-town artists
*Please note:
- These are for different contracts with different companies, but we are
holding combined auditions for your convenience
- priority given to Saskatchewan-based or connected artists
- Artists who have worked for Hardly Art or Sum Theatre need not audition
but can submit their interest in upcoming projects at this time
**Please prepare:
- One monologue of your choosing and one verse of a song of your choice to
be sung acapella.
- If additional material is required, sides will be provided outside the
audition room.

(e.g. BILL SHAKESPEARE AUDITION)
Please attach a current resume and photo
Please indicate if you have experience or interest in theatre education or
facilitating drama with youth or community members
Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members
cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract.
CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the audition.
