Theatre seeks to be a reflection of the audience we serve. For this
reason, we actively seek and encourage artists from different cultural
backgrounds to apply.

Additional information:
Roseneath Theatre (ITA TYA) is touring our production of Spirit Horse by
Drew Hayden Taylor. We strongly encourage actors who identify as
Indigenous to apply for the role of the Father. The performer has a major
role in this production for young audiences.

A highly theatrical and imaginative story in which three actors play over
65 characters, accompanied by a live musician. Spirit Horse is a powerful
adventure of two Indigenous city children whose lives are changed forever
by the appearance of a Spirit Horse - a gift from their grandfather who
lives by the old ways on a prairies reserve.

Pa – Father, 30-45, a grandfather from the Stoney Nation and other roles.
He used to be a champion rodeo rider. Emotional depth & honesty is
essential.

All actors granted an audition will have access to the full script of the
play and sides.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card or number to the
audition to sign in.
