SONGBOOK:
This three-hour class spans four weeks, as participants choose and prepare
material that spans the music theatre repertoire, with each week focusing on
a different style of music, with the fourth class being a mock audition and
callback. WEEK ONE: Golden Age WEEK TWO: Contemporary Music Theatre WEEK
THREE: Pop/Bluegrass/Rock.
Class size is limited to 8. An accompanist will be present, and each student
will work both individually and collectively, in the final class. In
addition to working on material, we will also focus on the nuts and bolts of
auditioning, from practicalities to psychological preparation.
