[CANUFNET] Trees and sightlines

FYI-

A colleague passed on an excellent article in the latest edition of
"Landscape Architecture" about street trees and sightlines.  It's based
on research done at UC Berkeley that concludes that restrictions on tree
planting near intersections are TOO restrictive and that cars parked on
the street, utility poles, and newspaper racks create a bigger
visibility problem than street trees.  They also talk about restrictions
on planting trees near parking meters, lights etc. and how these types
of rules can severely restrict where street trees can be planted.
