In Ontario there is a laboratory in Sault Ste Marie - either the provincial
government or the federal government, I can't remember which. The provincial
pathologist is:  john.mclaughlin at ontario.ca ; he should be able to guide you
further.

Do any of you know where I might get a sample of wood cultured to 
identify a pathogen. The sample will be imported from Asia so I need a 
laboratory that can handle the import permits and probably one that can 
quarantine the sample and work on it in a quarantined environment.
