Mark your calendars. June 18th and 19th, the City of Saskatoon and the Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment are hosting an invasive species workshop and seminar series. Our speakers will be covering some of the most significant insects and diseases threatening the forests of the prairie provinces. Participants will get the opportunity to:

* receive status updates and learn about management options for invasive forest pests (Dutch elm disease, Emerald ash borer, Asian longhorn beetle and others),

* participate in workshops on early detection and identification,

* conduct pathway analyses and risk assessments,

* learn about the National Forest Pest Strategy,

* earn Continuing Education Units to maintain ISA certification.

Registration details will be made available before the end of February.

Hope to see you there.

Regards
