Dear Canadian Urban Forest Network Member

 

This email is a follow-up to the message sent on February 6, 2009 to the
members of the Canadian Urban Forest Network asking you to help articulate
the establishment of a National Steering Committee to set a strategic
direction for the Network and create a clear orientation for organization.
We asked you to help nominate a representative from each of the following
Regions: British Columbia, Alberta, Prairies (Manitoba, Saskatchewan),
Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada. 

 

We are pleased that representatives have been provided for the Prairies
Region (Martha Barwinsky) and the Quebec Region (Pierre Jutras). 

 

We are asking the remaining Regions (Atlantic, Ontario, Alberta, B.C) .to
conference with their Network members  and nominate a representative who
will act on the National Steering Committee for the Canadian Urban Forest
Network. The nominated delegate is to contact Tree Canada President Michael
Rosen via email at mrosen at treecanada.ca by March 30, 2009.

 

A list of Network members can be found on the Canadian Urban Forest Network
website: www.cufn-rcfu.ca 

 

We will then contact the nominated members of each region in order to set up
a conference call to establish the next steps to be taken by the Committee
in advancing the strategic direction of the Canadian Urban Forest Network.

Avis aux membres du Réseau canadien de la forêt urbaine

 

Nous aimerions faire un suivi au message qui a été envoyé par Arbres Canada
aux membres du Réseau canadien de la forêt urbaine le 6 février 2009
demandant que vous nous aidez articuler le comité directeur national ébauche
de mandate, afin d’établir une direction stratégique pour le Réseau et créer
une directive claire pour l’organisation. Nous avons demandé que vous
nominez un membre représentatif du Réseau dans chacune des régions suivantes
: Colombie-Britannique, Prairies (Manitoba, Alberta et Saskatchewan),
Ontario, Québec et Canada atlantique.

 

Nous sommes fier d’annoncer les représentatifs pour la Région des Prairies
(Martha Barwinsky) et pour le Québec (Pierre Jutras).

            

Nous demandons aux autres régions (Atlantique, Ontario, Alberta et C.-B.) de
nommer un représentant qui fera partie du comité directeur national du
Réseau canadien de la forêt urbaine. Nous demandons à la personne nommée de
communiquer avec M. Michael Rosen d’Arbres Canada par courriel à
mrosen at treecanada.ca d’ici le 30 mars 2009.

Nous communiquerons ensuite avec tous les membres nommés dans chaque région
afin d’organiser une conférence téléphonique pour formuler les prochaines
étapes qui permettront de déterminer l’orientation stratégique du Réseau
canadien de la forêt urbaine.
