[CANUFNET] Update on CUFN

Dear Network Member:

As part of the Canadian Urban Forest Strategy, the Canadian Urban Forest Network was created to act as a catalyst for the active support and awareness of  Canada's urban forests. Following discussions at the Canadian Urban Forest Conference 8 (Strathcona, AB), a National Steering Committee was established, in order to define a strategic direction for the Network and to create clear orientation for organization and planning. The members of the National Steering Committee are:

-          Greg Ward, City of Surrey (B.C.)

-          Martha Barwinsky, City of Winnipeg (Prairies)

-          Adrina Ambrosii, University of Toronto (Ontario)

-          Pierre Jutras, Ville de Montréal (Québec)

-          Amery Boyer, Annapolis Royal (Atlantic)

-          Andy Kenney, University of Toronto (Co-Chair)

-          Michael Rosen, Tree Canada (Co-Chair)

-          Bruno Chicoine, Tree Canada (Secretary)
I am taking advantage of this communication by introducing you to Bruno Chicoine, a Project Manager for Tree Canada who is specializing in urban forest projects. A graduate of the University of Moncton, Bruno is highly motivated by all aspects of urban forestry, including the Canadian Urban Forest Network..
