Second Call for Abstracts
International Conference for Urban Forestry in Challenging Environments
August 29-September 1, 2010
Beijing, China
 
The International Conference for Urban Forestry in Challenging Environments is co-organized by the IUFRO-Urban Forestry Unit and Beijing Forestry University. It will be held in Beijing, China this fall. The central theme of the conference is on how to manage urban forests in various challenging environments. 
 
We invite abstracts based on research, or personal or institutional experience that covering, but are not limited to the following topics:
Urban forest management in compact and high-density cities
Urban forest management in cities in recession
Urban forest management in conflict zones
Urban forest management in natural disaster areas
Adapt urban forests to negative impacts of climate changes
Plant and maintain urban trees under unfavorable environmental conditions, both natural and man-made
Innovative techniques and guidelines that can help establish urban forests in all kinds of challenging environments
The benefits of urban forests to people in challenging environments
