[CANUFNET] Restricting Tree Height

I’ve also seen it here in more recent years, particularly with European Lindens.  A year or two after planting they chop the tops to make them bush out more. Usually only done once. Makes a multi-topped, rounder tree. A very common practice in Europe.

I have seen this in Europe (italy particularly) as a common technique.  While they my be doing it slightly better than American tree toppers it sure looked more like topping than pollarding to me.
