Dear friends and colleagues,

I am currently pursuing my doctorate research at the Faculty of Environmental Studies at York University in Toronto. My research centres on exploring and communicating different stories, views and perceptions (or narratives) of the urban forest with respect to policies, practices and representations.

One of the stories that I am exploring in-depth are social profiles in arboriculture. Specifically, for this component, I am interested in interviewing municipal and private sector Arborists in Southern Ontario. This research will provide valuable insight into how arborists perceive, influence and engage with the urban forest.
You will be asked to answer a set of questions and engage in a free ranging discussion. This will take no more than 1 hour of your time. All information you supply during the research will be held in confidence and the names of all participants will remain strictly confidential.

If you are willing to participate in my study, please contact me directly and we can set up a time to meet in person or to speak over the phone. Interviews will be scheduled for the months of October and November.
If you know someone who may not be part of this listserv and who should be included in my study, please share this note with them.
