I am doing some work on private sector (i.e. corporate) support for urban forests and wanted to ask the Network some pointed questions, which I will keep in confidence, namely:


-          How much in dollar figures would you say that the private sector supports the urban forests of your community or within your organization?

        It fluctuates from year to year, but tends to be between $10,000 - $20,000.

-          In % terms, how are those dollars divided amongst: tree planting, tree maintenance, education and awareness, insect/disease protection and other
80-90% tree planting, with the remainder being education and awareness.

-          Any observations wrt the motivation or knowledge base of the private sector would be appreciated

        Tends to be pretty basic in terms of wanting to get involved in the community doing some tangible work on the ground.  Of course everyone loves to plant trees.
