Call for Presentations for the 12th
Canadian Urban Forest Conference

Bringing together between 300 and 400 urban forestry experts every second year, the Canadian Urban Forest Conference (CUFC) promotes dialogue between professionals, scientists and community groups. The CUFC unites these diverse stakeholders so they can share experiences and innovative approaches relating to stewardship, policies, technologies, research and best practices in managing Canada's urban forests.

The 2016 CUFC is being coordinated by the City of Laval, Quebec, and is benefiting from the guidance and support of Tree Canada, TD Friends of the Environment Foundation as well as researchers from the Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO) and the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM).

Date: September 26-29, 2016
Main theme for the 12th CUFC is «The urban forest revealed»

Three subjects will be featured:
Planning green infrastructures
Discovering urban biodiversity
Understanding ecosystem services

Appel de présentation pour la
Conférence canadienne sur la forêt urbaine

Réunissant tous les deux ans entre 300 et 400 experts de la foresterie urbaine,
la Conférence canadienne sur la forêt urbaine (CCFU) favorise le dialogue entre
professionnels, scientifiques et groupes communautaires. La CCFU réunit ces
différents intervenants afin qu'ils partagent entre eux leurs expériences et leurs
approches novatrices en matière d'intendance, de politiques, de technologies, de
recherche et de meilleures pratiques de gestion des forêts urbaines canadiennes.

L'édition 2016 de la CCFU est coordonnée par la Ville de Laval et bénéficie de
l'encadrement et du soutien d'Arbres Canada, de la Fondation TD des amis
de l'environnement et de chercheurs de l'Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO) et de l'Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM).
