Last summer I wrote you to inform you that the Society of Municipal Arborists' (SMA) Municipal Forestry Institute (MFI) was considering coming to Canada for the 1st time. I am very excited to inform you that due to your positive response we can confirm MFI Canada in cooperation with Tree Canada will be in Cornwall, Ontario in 2017!
MFI is a unique leadership training program which has graduated over 500 future leaders in urban forestry across North America since 2006. Now it will have a Canadian "flavour" and give you the opportunity to learn from a talented pool of teaching cadre including: Owen Croy, Martha Barwinsky, John McNeil, Andy Hillman and Jerri LaHaie. Andy Kenney and myself will be joining for a special get together.
