[CANUFNET] How do you calculate the weight of a tree?

I have a poor photocopy of "Information from the US Department of the
Interior, National parks Service sheet - Rope, Knots and Climbing" that
gives Log Weight using diameter and 1 foot length for a wide variety of
tree species. Diameters used in the table range from 10 to 36 inches and
the resulting weights per cubic foot. You might be able to go onto the
website and find the original datasheet. Iola Price, Ottawa
