Hi Sarah,
There has not been any luck at all treating this pest in Alberta. Most Manchurian and Black Ash have disappeared from the landscapes and urban forests of Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer and other towns, so I would not hold out too much hope in Saskatchewan. In fact, I would suggest putting your money into removal and replacement with immune species such as Bur Oak would be a better use of funds. Alternatively, you may want to get in touch with Bio-Forest and see if their product, Tree Azin could be used for this pest experimentally. We tried Orthene and Confidor in Alberta with very dismal success. Actually, zero success.
Sorry to hear about this!
Best,
Gerard

Hi Sarah:
Although much is not being done because of the focus on EAB, here are 2 fact sheets that contain some information regarding control / treatment. Also phone numbers to contact regarding your Psyllid problem. Hope this helps in a small way. Bets of luck saving your Ash trees.

Subject: [CANUFNET] Cottony Ash Psyllid
Hello Everyone
I have discovered a cottony ash psyllid problem on the Manchurian ash in downtown Moose Jaw. All of the trees are about 20-30 cm diameter at breast height and in tree wells. The leaves aren’t showing much distortion, maybe 5% of leaves are distorted on the worst tree. From what I can tell it’s mostly second generation psyllids creating a lot of cotton, so I have hope we can get the psyllid population under control before they do serious damage.
What are other municipalities doing to control cottony ash psyllid? What are your thoughts on the efficacy of the treatments you’ve tried?
Thank you in advance.
