[CANUFNET] Urban Tree Species Selection SURVEY: last chance!

Dear colleagues,

My name is Jehane Samaha and I am a graduate student at the University of
British Columbia, working on a thesis project related to urban tree species
selection. I am hoping to gather responses from both the USA and Canada to
compile a sweeping view of this complex issue.

After initial attempts at distributing my survey, there are several states
and provinces with low representation. I've re-opened the survey for
another week to gather more responses, especially from smaller Canadian
cities (and especially anyone in Ontario, New Brunswick, and Manitoba).
Responses from other areas are of course welcome too!

The survey takes most people about 15 minutes to complete. My survey is *OPEN

Also, would you consider forwarding the blurb below to any colleagues or
relevant listservs? I would be so grateful for your help! Any professionals
(urban foresters, landscape architects, and employees at nurseries, public

the word.

Consider participating in our Urban Tree Selection Study regarding the
priorities for tree species selection in cities across temperate North
America.

*Goal: *Professionals from public gardens, urban forestry, landscape
architecture, arboriculture, the nursery trade, non-profits, and academia
may hold a variety of views and preferences about which tree species should
be planted in cities. The goal of this research is to assess the current
tree selection priorities of professionals and to inform future planting
decisions.

*Study team:* This research is being conducted by graduate student Jehane
Samaha and her supervisor Dr. Cecil Konijnendijk van den Bosch, through the
University of British Columbia (UBC), Department of Forest Resources
