[CANUFNET] Survey - i-Tree and My Tree use and awareness / Sondage: l'utilisation et connaissance du i-Tree et Mon Arbre

To all Canadian members of CUFN,

The United States Forest Service and Canadian Forest Service are interested in your awareness and use of two digital products:

·        iTree -  a state-of-the-art, peer-reviewed software suite<https://www.itreetools.org/> from the United States Forest Service (USFS) that provides urban and rural forestry analysis and benefits assessment tools. The U.S. Forest Service<http://www.fs.fed.us/>, Davey Tree Expert Company, National Arbor Day Foundation, Society of Municipal Arborists, International Society of Arboriculture, and Casey Trees have entered into a cooperative partnership to further develop, disseminate and provide technical support for the suite. i-Tree tools are freely available.

·        My Tree - a free app by the Canadian Forest Service<https://www.nrcan.gc.ca/forests> that shows which trees will grow best in which Canadian locations. The My Tree app<https://www.nrcan.gc.ca/forests/apps/19974> now includes more than 180 native and introduced tree species<https://www.nrcan.gc.ca/forests/apps/19974#species> and their colour-coded hardiness zones and is available on Android, Apple and Blackberry platforms.

·        i-Tree – Suite logicielle<https://www.itreetools.org/> à la fine pointe de la technologie et examinée par des pairs produite par le Service des forêts des États-Unis qui offre des outils d’analyse de la foresterie urbaine et rurale et des outils d’évaluations des bénéfices. Le Service des forêts des États-Unis<http://www.fs.fed.us/>, la Davey Tree Expert Company, la National Arbor Day Foundation, la Society of Municipal Arborists, l’International Society of Arboriculture et Casey Trees ont conclu un partenariat de collaboration en vue de développer et de diffuser la suite et de fournir du soutien technique connexe. Les outils d’i-Tree sont gratuits.

·        Mon arbre – Une application gratuite offerte par le Service canadien des forêts<https://www.rncan.gc.ca/forets> qui permet de découvrir quels arbres sont mieux adaptés aux différentes régions du Canada. L’application Mon arbre<https://www.rncan.gc.ca/forets/applications/19975> comprend maintenant plus de 180 espèces d’arbres indigènes et introduites et indique le classement des zones de rusticité par code de couleurs. L’application est offerte sur les plateformes Android, Apple et Blackberry.
