[CANUFNET] Tree Planting Programs

Hi Chelsea and all,

Tree Canada offers grants in support of tree planting  projects throughout Canada through our Community Tree Grants.

Tree Canada is now accepting applications for community greening projects to support greening projects on school grounds, or any community-based projects looking to plant edible trees or shrubs.

Good Afternoon,

Looking to see what other municipalities throughout Canada, both big and small, are doing in respect to promoting Tree Planting amongst their residents.
Do you offer a rebate for planted trees?
Do you sell trees directly to the residents? If so, are these trees planted and monitored by municipal staff?
Other options for urban tree planting programs?

Looking forward to seeing what other municipalities are doing to promote growth within their respective urban forest.
