Thanks very much for sharing this important and practical analysis to help aid those of us who are having trouble understanding the very confusing CTLA 10th edition.

Subject: [CANUFNET] Plant Appraisal - Tenth Edition

For anyone following the Tenth edition saga here are some updates. The original version was withdrawn from circulation, nominally revised to fix numerous typographical errors, reprinted, and reissued. It still contains significant technical errors in appraisal technique, and there are numerous flaws in the worksheets and guidance being offered. Many places seem to be adopting a wait and see approach rather than jumping in to using the Tenth edition. At least one court case has accepted the use of the Ninth edition rather than the Tenth. The attached files compiled by Scott Cullen show the latest worksheet problems. The court case is also attached for reference.

Cheers

jd
