DEADLINE EXTENSION: CANADIAN URBAN FORESTRY AWARDS
Know someone who is demonstrating excellence in Urban Forestry? Every year, Tree Canada, recognizes outstanding companies, groups, and individuals who are making a difference for the environment and trees, whether locally or across Canada.

These coveted awards celebrate individuals and groups who have contributed significantly to the advancement of Canadian urban forestry!

Nominate yourself or someone you know who is making a difference for the environment and trees in urban spaces of Canada. There are four awards to be granted this year:

  1.  Royal Galipeau Award of Distinction<https://treecanada.ca/about-us/awards/royal-galipeau-award-of-distinction/>: recognizes excellence in leadership and significant contributions in Canadian urban forestry over a minimum of ten years.
  2.  Public Education Award<https://treecanada.ca/about-us/awards/tree-canada-public-education-award-2/>: recognizes excellence in furthering the understanding of urban forestry issues and/or encouraging best practices in the urban forestry sector. This award is open to individuals, the media or organizations.
  3.  Urban Forestry Youth Volunteer Award <https://treecanada.ca/about-us/awards/tree-canada-urban-forestry-youth-volunteer-award/> : recognizes outstanding volunteer services in urban forestry to the community by young Canadians between the ages of 15-24.
  4.  Urban Forestry Student Bursary: <https://treecanada.ca/about-us/awards/tree-canada-urban-forestry-student-bursary/> is available to students in Canada who have a strong interest in and dedication for urban forestry as demonstrated by their academic, volunteerism and extra-curricular activities. The bursary will pay the hotel, travel, meals and registration expenses for a full-time student to attend the Canadian Urban Forest Conference.

The deadline is now May 30, 2020.

Arbres Canada est heureux d'annoncer le lancement de l'appel à candidatures pour nos Prix de la Forêt Urbaine Canadienne<https://arbrescanada.ca/a-propos/prix/>! Ces prix célèbrent ceux et celles qui ont contribué à l'avancement des forêts urbaines canadiennes. Êtes-vous ou connaissez-vous une personne qui contribue à aider l'environnement et les arbres dans les espaces urbains au Canada? Nominez-les dès aujourd'hui!!

Les quatre récompenses sont les suivantes :

  2.  Le Prix d'éducation publique<https://arbrescanada.ca/a-propos/prix/prix-deducation-publique-darbres-canada/> qui récompense l'excellence des efforts visant à promouvoir une meilleure compréhension de la foresterie urbaine;
  3.  Le Prix Jeune bénévole en foresterie urbaine<https://arbrescanada.ca/a-propos/prix/prix-jeune-benevole-en-foresterie-urbaine-darbres-canada/> qui récompense des services bénévoles exceptionnels dans le domaine de la foresterie urbaine;
  4.  La Bourse d'études en foresterie urbaine<https://arbrescanada.ca/a-propos/prix/bourse-detudes-en-foresterie-urbaine-darbres-canada/> octroyée à un étudiant postsecondaire manifestant un fort engagement en matière de foresterie urbaine.

La date limite est maintenant le 30 mai, 2020.
