Message from Danielle, CEO Tree Canada
At Tree Canada we plant hundreds of thousands of seedlings every year as part of our National Greening Program<https://treecanada.ca/reforestation-carbon-offsetting/national-greening-program/>. We plant on land where there was no previous tree cover or where tree cover existed but was decimated.
Planting seedlings is a gesture of hope. Hope that someday – thanks to nature and nurturing hands – these tiny trees will develop and provide all the benefits that come with their growth.

Picking the perfect Christmas tree
A crispness enters the air, green becomes white and soon the holidays are upon us. The quest for a real Christmas tree is one many of us take on with joy every year. Any why not? A real tree brings the great outdoors in and provides us with all the benefits only real trees can.

"Travel" this holiday season with these festive flowering trees
Here in Canada, our days are getting shorter and the autumn leaves have faded and fallen. Neighbourhood strolls are now reserved for admiring trees crisscrossed with decorative lights, or peering through frosted eyelashes to observe branches after a delicate dusting (or dump!) of snow.

Canadian Urban Forest Network - Atlantic Region Update
Most if not all municipalities across the Atlantic region had a slow start with annual urban forest projects due to COVID restrictions this year. We are all adapting to the “new normal” along with a very dry summer on the East Coast (driest year on record some forecasters are quoting) which caused many new tree planting projects to be delayed until spring 2021.
