[CANUFNET] Floating sidewalks or slabs over tree roots

This was done a few years ago now, so see if it will work for your application...I think I may have borrowed it from Thunder Bay, but cant remember right now.

Hello Network,

I was wondering if any one might have a standard detail they would be willing to share for either a reinforced floating concrete sidewalk or floating concrete slab (e.g. driveway pad) for use in situations of construction or reconstruction where near surface tree roots exists and limited excavation is preferred.
