Hi Robert,

The City of London (Ontario) has been very progressive when it comes to
support for private land tree planting programs, particularly through their
TreeMe program, which you can read more about here:
https://london.ca/living-london/water-environment/trees/treeme

The program offers 75% funding towards planting projects on private land,
with community partners, residents, and local businesses kicking in the
remaining 25%.

They also recently launched a new "Veteran Tree Incentive Program" aimed at
helping maintain some of the larger/older trees on private lands:
https://london.ca/vtip

Finally, the official Tree Planting Strategy (a sub-strategy of the
municipal Urban Forest Strategy) also speaks to the importance of
supporting planting on private land and is well worth a read.
Unfortunately, it's not publicly available on the City's website, but you
can request a copy from treeprotection at london.ca

Cheers,
Amber
