In the City of Windsor, Ontario, we currently use Treegator watering bags for a 2-year period following planting of caliper street trees. In recent years we have had a high loss rate of the waterbags due to damages from string trimmers and mowers as well as losses to theft.

With over 4,000 caliper trees to water annually, our watering program costs and replacement cost for damaged bags has become significant.

We are looking for information on experience with the new TreeDiaper products. Are they a successful replacement/alternative for Treegator bags in terms of tree survival, establishment and growth? How and where are you using them? Are they cost effective verses a waterbags and weekly watering visits?

Thank you for any information you can provide!
