[CANUFNET] Question about Tree Azin

We have been using Tree Azin since it was first offered experimentally back in 2013, and I have never observed any adverse effects such as leaf scorch or leaf drop.
These symptoms were rare but more common with the older injection/systemic chemicals such as orthene and dimethoate.
We have never injected a Tilia spp., but I would expect it to behave much like other diffuse porous trees such as maple, birch and poplar, which we have injected with Tree Azin hundreds if not thousands of times, with good results.
Best,
Gerard Fournier

Hello,
Signs and symptoms must be clearer than fallen leaves. Why would TreeAzin be suspected for Spongy Moth? The company has data for your questioning. Does anyone have this in reference as a tree care ?

Hello CANUFNET moderator. Although I am not a forester or arborist, people often ask me questions about trees. One person is concerned that a multi-trunk basswood was adversely impacted by spongy moth control with Tree Azin – leaves are turning brown and dropping on the injected tree but I don’t think all limbs or trunks are affected. I have also found fallen basswood leaves that are not brown. I am not sure how much of the above information to include in the question. Iola Price Ottawa 613-746-6145.

Has anyone ever had an impact on a tree from stem injection of Tree Azin for spongy moth caterpillar control? The tree in question is a large basswood and it was injected at the time of caterpillar emergence. Iola Price
