The School of Agriculture is pleased to announce the introduction of a Tree Identification Workshop.  This new educational opportunity will provide in depth information and instruction on tree identification with a focus on species that are common to Manitoba.  Topics will include Naming, Classifying, Describing and Identifying Trees (deciduous and coniferous).



The intended audience is for International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborists; Non-certified Arborists (tree care workers); Landscaping & Horticultural Professionals.



This workshop qualifies for ISA Continuing Education Credits (CEUs):

*       Up to 11 ISA Continuing Education Credits may be awarded to ISA Certified Arborists for completing this workshop.  ** To be confirmed.

Fee:  $400



The workshop will be delivered in a hybrid format.

*       Thursday November 14:

o   Virtual evening session

o   6:30 pm to 9:00 pm

*       Thursday November 21:

o   Virtual evening session

o   6:30 pm to 9:00 pm

*       Saturday, November 23:

o   In-person field and classroom session.  Hosted at the U of MB Ft Garry campus.

o   9:00 am to 4:00 pm

*       Thursday November 28:

o   Test (online via UM Learn platform)

o   6:30 pm to 7:00 pm

o   Participants that are successful in passing a short test will receive a Letter of Accomplishment.
