Hello CANUFNET Community,

The City of Penticton is looking to fill the position of Parks Technician in our Parks Department.  The Parks Technician plays a key role in maintaining and enhancing the Parks Department's GIS data and digital information as well as implementing tasks outlined in the Urban Forest Management Plan. This position also supports capital project coordination, asset management, and collaborates closely with Engineering, Development Services, Operations staff, and external consultants to facilitate daily operational activities and implement various park programs. This position will involve year-round indoor and outside work. This position will primarily focus on the City's Urban Forest Management Plan (UFMP). Having education or experience in Urban Forestry would be advantageous.

Position Type: Full-time Permanent (40 hours per week)
Wage: $38.72 - $42.82 per hour (Pay Grade 15, CUPE)
