Hello Urban Foresters - long time listener, first time caller.

I'm updating a Subdivision and Servicing Bylaw which regulates our boulevards and am looking for street tree bylaw BMPs for:

  * Soil cell triggers - bylaw wording that identifies when a soil cell must be installed.

  * Maintenance Periods - we currently hold a Performance Security for 1 year (but longer to rectify deficiencies) but want to go to a base period of 2 years. Does anyone else hold Securities/Bonds for more than a year (to ensure establishment irrigation for 2-3 years)?

  * Design standard for the use of crusher fines as mulch (investigating for use instead of grates and in some traffic circles).
  * Standard requirements for the use of utility root barrier "tunnels" like this:

Thank you kindly,
