[CANUFNET] Choice of mulch for around trees and shrubs

Hello,

I'm working with a group on the Sunshine coast who have limited access to
quality mulch (in the needed quantity) to ue around their planted trees &
shrubs. They would have access to:

*	Wood shavings from a local mill comprised of fir and hemlock plus
some cedar & hardwood.
*	Bark mulch
*	Coarse wood chips

Any recommendations as to the preferable choice?
